Holidays are Danger Days in Disguise

For me Memorial Day is not only the kickoff to a great summer, but it’s also a time for family gatherings, picnics and barbecues. It’s time to reopen the pool and have fun!

However, when you invite people onto your property, you’re exposing yourself to risk. Just “monkeying around” can quickly turn into a dangerous boating accident, pool tragedy or ATV wreck. Though you hope tragedy never strikes, if forced to retain an attorney, chances are legal costs would far exceed the limits for most homeowner, boat or auto insurance policies. Additionally, you should review your homeowner’s policy to ensure that you have proper coverage for other structures on your property such as pool houses, guest cottages and in-ground pools.

This Memorial Day, build a firewall against risk. If you have any questions, never hesitate to reach out to me directly.

Have a safe and happy Memorial Day!
